Taking care of yourself is crucial in that it tells the world how you feel about yourself. You don’t have to be a supermodel; you just have to be healthy.
Taking care of yourself emotionally means taking the time for yourself to relax and rejuvenate. Take a bath after work, take a day off for a spa day or do some journalling. Taking care of yourself physically is important too. You don’t have to be a trained athlete; but get your butt off the couch one in a while and move. Do something for your body that will make you feel better. Not only is it great for stress; but you’ll feel better about yourself too.
Condition Yourself – Physically And Emotionally
If you are one hundred percent sure that you are ready to meet other people then by all means go! But ensure that you are ready in the both aspects of your physical and emotional health. Looks may not be important to you but it is important for some men you may find interesting. We may not look like beauty queens or the next top model but we can certainly try and look like a fit and healthy versions of ourselves. Looking and essentially feeling fit will give you the self confidence you need to go out there and find yourself a good looking guy by your standards. Exercising and eating a balanced diet will not only make you look good but also make you feel good about yourself and your health.
Aside from your physical well being, you ought to make sure that your emotional health is at balance. The answer to a healthy emotional state is putting the past behind and moving forward to a brand new chapter of your life. This is sometimes harder than what many other senior women dating and or looking for somebody in the process have expected. If you want to start new, start with a clean slate. No matter if it’s your fault or not, forgiveness and being able to let go of negative emotions from the past are good signs that you are already in a good and healthy emotional state. You should be open to new possibilities in your life. Do not let your past mistakes hunt you. Alternatively learn from them. Healthy emotional state means accepting that you did some mistakes or wrong decisions in the past.
Stop Distressing – Enjoy!
It is a given that women over 50, dating and available have some amount of pressure to instantly find somebody they are interested in and who in return is also interested in dating them. But this shouldn’t worry you. You should be able to take your time and be able to go into a serious relationship once more in your own terms and in your own pace. Nobody should rush you into committing into something you do not feel like doing.
You have a chance to improve your life so do the things you adore. Get yourself busy in valuable activities that will not only improve and develop your skill but also can be financially rewarding. This way you will be less crabby and you are more productive. Men are watchful for women who can inspire them and not those who will just slow them down. They do not want to spend the next 30 or 40 years of their lives being jaded.
